A solar clothes dryer, better known as a clothes line,  generates no greenhouse gases.

Every load of wet clothes put into an electric clothes dryer generates more that 3 kilograms of greenhouse gas from the energy used.  Next to the refrigerator, the clothes dryer is the top energy-using appliance in the house.  It cost about $100 a year to run it.  Drying all your clothes naturally will save over 200 kilograms of greenhouse gas emissions.Instead of using your energy-guzzling clothes dryer, choose the natural solution whenever you can.  For those times when you must use a dryer, make sure your washing machine’s spin cycle removes as much excess water as possible and clean lint filter for efficiency.
