The Springwise Newsletter informs us all of another awesome recycling/reuse idea: Keeping surfboards out of landfills with recycling and reuse. We've seen efforts focusing to varying extents on each of the “3Rs” of waste management — reduce, reuse and recycle — but we couldn't resist mentioning one more that recently caught our eye. 2. You can vote on ideas from September 24 through October 8, 2009.
We’ve posted a selection of the top ideas; now it’s up to you, the public, to choose the ideas you think are the best. Then an advisory board will select up to five final ideas for funding.
3. We’ll help bring these ideas to life.
We’re committing $10 million to implement these projects, and our goal is to help as many people as possible. So remember, money may provide a jumpstart, but the idea is the thing. Learn more about how the winning ideas will be implemented.
