house day

If you are thinking about making some changes to your home, to make it more comfortable and save on your energy and water costs take the opportunity to visit some eco-homes.

Around 170 homes around the country will open their doors for this year on  Sustainable House Day, Presented by Solar Shop Australia, this is a great opportunity to see what sustainable home-owners have done and how these ideas can apply to you.

This is the 8th year of the successful Sustainable House Day – where houses across Australia are opened to show you how to live more sustainably.

This year it’s FREE! Sustainable House Day major partner: Australian Government.

Environmental awareness – or being -green- is great, but putting it into practice around your own home is the best contribution you can make to living in harmony with our planet.

Save time and money by visiting real sustainable projects in action, and learning what worked well and not so well. There will be plenty of info available on the day, with architects, builders and energy auditors on hand at many of the homes to provide you with expert tips on sustainable living.  Entry to the houses is free. The house locations are spread around metro and regional areas across Australia.
