Start managing your life to help keep our earth green and your life balanced. Hard times are challenging at best but they are also a great opportunity to get creative. Going green is all about conserving resources. Here are some ways to make hard times greener and happier:

Keep fit and healthy: If you want to help save the planet it’s best to start with yourself. Be sure to get enough sleep, exercise and activity to improve your overall outlook.

Support the locals:  Feeding yourself and family simply, well and buy locally to grow your local community.  Enjoy the local farmers’ markets.

Clean up your home environment:  Donate and or swap items that you are no longer using.  Give yourself space and some breathing room.

Check your recycling habits: Not wasting our resources makes us feel so much better.  This economic downturn is the perfect time to recycle.

Are all those news reports really necessary? Unplug the radio and curb your TV watching. Read a book, play a game, take a walk. Keep a journal of your thoughts and activities.

Stay connected:  Celebrate community by participating in green events and gatherings.. These are wonderful opportunities to share green achievements, inspiration and fun.

Donate time to charity: It can be a fulfilling pastime to volunteer your talents and efforts.  A rewarding way to feel good about yourself.

Keep smiling:  It can do wonderful things. Do have a sense of humour and laugh at yourself.  Laugh, have some fun and dance.

Most of all be honest with yourself and keep green!
