The Freecycle Network is made up of 4,770 groups with 6,950,000 members across the globe.  It’s a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It’s all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer.  Membership is free.To sign up, find your community by entering it into the search box on the The Freecycle Network website by clicking on “Browse Groups” above the search box. Breakfast’s radio solutions Melbourne Australia : Thanks to 3AW693 Ross Stevenson and John Burns for their discussion on recycling TVs and The Freecycle Network on radio this morning and thanks to our star recycler, Helen, for her phone call  to inform us about it. For recycling old TVs – google “Freecycle” or give it to a nursing home where many people don’t have them in their rooms.
